Meet the Baker
Hi! I'm the owner, baker, and cake artist behind Cotton Flat Cakes.
What started as a creative outlet in January 2020, quickly grew into something bigger; a business built on the belief that every celebration deserves a cake that's just as unforgettable as the occasion itself. Since then, I've had the privilege of being a part of so many birthdays, weddings, holidays, and some of life's greatest milestones.
Based in Midland, Texas, I pride myself in making custom cakes and specialty desserts that are all made from scratch. Baking is where creativity, attention to detail, and maybe a little chemistry come together. I enjoy everything from experimenting with different flavors to decorating the cakes. There is nothing sweeter than seeing a finished cake I made become the centerpiece of someone's celebration.
When I am not in the kitchen, I'm pursuing another life-long passion; veterinary medicine. I recently earned my bachelor's degree in biology from Sul Ross State University and am a Licensed Veterinary Technician. While baking and veterinary medicine seem like two very different worlds, both require patience, precision, and a genuine love for what I do!
